I say strip down all the so-call conveniences inside the building and be straight up a place for fueling/showers/parking. No more overstocked w/junk food store, no more fastfood. Just the bare necessities. Boom! Who is happy now?

Where did I say they (The TA) require you to take a 30.

It's the DOT regulations that require you a thirty. It is nice they the, TA; has a 2 hour grace period.

You intimated that drivers had to have a 20 so TA should accommodate them. Nothing could be further from the truth.

And when there is not enough revenue off of those three things, and they start charging for parking drivers howl, and howl, and howl......

We need to start calling the health department and start complaining for all the hot dogs that are left on the grill for more than 4 hours. Especially that mystery meat hot sandwich crap that some of them have. TA has so much swill in their places they need to step up alot more if they want people to pay for parking there.

All they have is crap. Crap food, crap service, crap mechanical service, they need to get slapped by someone.

Face it, Travel Centers of America HATES the trucking community. And is deliberately driving the trucker away.

If we quit parking there, they can tear up the lot (leaving just enough for the shop) and sell off the excess land. Instant profit plus long term savings in property taxes AND staffing requirements.

I've been platinum with them for what will be the 7th year in a row this year.

There's no doubt they have a lot of problems, but they also have some good perks. I like the $300 a day free check cashing. A free drink for anything over 75 gallons is helpful.

They definitely have fallen behind in the food service. No matter if it's the country pride or iron skillet the vast majority pretty much stink. The C store food is mostly awful.

The lots being decent are a case by case deal. I find the ones on the east coast a lot more shabby, but the piss stench is not a company issue, it's a driver issue.

I don't like seeing places that are 50% or higher reserved parking now, but people are paying so they're going to cash in.

I think there's too much conspiracy theory going on around here. All the companies are ######. Just pick your poison.
