Oh please, yes I'm sure what he witnessed was gruesome and traumatic but he is just trying to get of trouble using this tragic accident as a cause. I don't buy it, he was drunk and stupid bottom line. Good Lord I could've used lame excuses all my life to try and get out of trouble I got myself into. I never did, I cowboy'd up and took my medicine.
One of the greatest losses to our society has been "personal responsibility", IMO

You could be right ... in part. However, PTSD is very real and there's nothing "manly" about not admitting to it if a person really is suffering from it. I guess the proof would be in whether these actions are different or consistant with his character before the bus incident.

IIRC, this truck driver was instrumental in helping to get the other passengers off the bus so there were no further fatalities. Also, the beheading was pretty gruesome and the assailant was taunting the other passengers and police with the head and eating parts of the victim.

Yeah I got the picture from the article lost n found and yes Post tramatic stress disorder is real and can also be deadly to people, not just the sufferer either. I was not trying to insinuate that this guy was a wuss.
i guess I have just become 'desensitized' to people trying to blame something for their actions. Stars get busted for drugs ..I was abused, rapists try to say that they were sexually molested as kids, when does it stop being someone else's fault and people pony up for their mistakes.
I really have to give this guy credit that was a horrific scene he was in and I don't know if i could've handled it the way he did. I do know one thing though, I would have one heck of a pysch billafter witnessing that scene. I probably would've begged to be committed to until the nightmares would stop also.

I have witnessed many things that I will never speak of. And it hurts so badly to keep it bottled up inside. I can't take this anymore. I wish I could make it stop, I wish I could just forget. I pray that these images in my head do not finally drive me over the edge.
