I listen to it all.
From Frank Sinatra to Tupac. Slayer to Hank sr. Hank jr to NWA to Toby Keith and Willie Nelson.
I like most music. Usually not today's but there is some out there I'll listen to and actually like. I'm getting old and set in my ways. You can play me some Curtis Lowe and Reign of Blood and I'd be just as happy as if you played Hey Good Looking or Sixteen Tons(Tennessee Ernie Ford version).
Country, Rock, Big Band, Classical, I pretty much dig most of it. Not a fan of Pop, Pop Country, that electronic crap, or the stupid stuff DJ's put out over good music. I guess I like some older pop but it's more cause It's old vs pop. lol. From Motown to Rock City. I dig a good bit of music.
I just received this from a source that chooses to remain anonymous. I can't confirm or deny it was taken from @IluvCATS playlist.
I know this one isn't but it still makes me laugh...
Whatever you listen to even if I don't like it...enjoy.
Come on it's got lines like...
"What if my goat smuggled illegals" - Trump fans should love that.( I jest, calm down. No need to tweet your anger at me.
I can't help myself the puns just come out. )
"When I see an old lady I'm reminded of a goat"
"What if my goat is drunk at a bar"
What if my goat was taken to mars"
Yes, I'm weird, I know this. Embrace the insanity, it makes life more fun.

Trouble with music today is modern artists rely too much on computers to make music for them. It's not very good. Art separates us from the animal kingdom more than anything else. So when computers can start making music better than us, that's when should be worried about artificial intelligence. But its not at that time yet. Computers aren't winning in music yet making stuff like this:
What makes humans unique, creativity, still isn't being beat by machines.Sirscrapntruckalot, Lepton1 and Oldironfan Thank this. -

Things like Autotune take away the needing skill/gift/talent older music has. I think a lot of today's tries to hard to be like the old school, lack the motivation for putting emotion into the song, or just don't even try an just churn out crap to get paid.
This is one reason I don't like what I call "Dj Music". They basically take a song, an then add crap to the song. Just make a new song! Why ruin something an change it from it's original. I can understand a band/artist doing a cover of a prior song, but to just butcher it with your weird techno and other stuff...drives me batty.
More power to the people that like that kind, Eletronica(?), House, trap, or whatever they call it.
Good god...I sound like the old people when I was growing up...lmao.
Tho I will admit...there is some good music out there that is current, but at lest for me...it's hard to find.
Sirscrapntruckalot - TURN DOWN THAT DEVIL MUSIC! - Some old person from when I was a kid many moons ago. -
Getto rap. Old school stuff. That mumble rap is crap.
Speaking of music, every time I go into a mega company truck stop(TA Loves) all the music is country music from 40 years ago.
I found a Beasty Boys CD at the dollar General the other day that has me going through out my day.Sirscrapntruckalot, Bumper, Lepton1 and 1 other person Thank this. -

Personally I believe it's going to happen soon, unfortunately. I like knowing the music I enjoy has been made by another person I can feel some sort of bond there even if I am anti social.
I date a girl, BEAUTIFUL, but she only liked Electronica... nothing else. It didn't last long. She was exceedingly beautiful... but she only liked repetitive nonsensical beats... I just couldn't look past it... I tried, very hard... such a good-looking woman..my god. Absolutely zero taste in any kind of music as at all whatsoever.Lepton1 and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -

I can dig a lot of old school rap and hip hop. Ghetto Boys to KRS-1. East to the West with a stop in the dirty south. I can't do today's rap at all. I can at lest deal with it if i have to, unlike the already mentioned electronica/trap/house/bleh.
Stopped at a gas station here on the sandbar the other day. Walk in get gas like I normally do, say hello the lady working behind the counter. Joking etc. As I pay, I was joking with her I could sing...an her co worker is like..."Oh we listen to rap. I'm sure that's not your thing." . I then replied..."Oh. So have you seen Sugar Hill Gang live? Naughty By Nature? Tupac? Outkast? Fugee's? Cypress Hill? Scarface? I have. Live no less....yea..your right...I don't know any rap." Funny part is the one lady(manager) who I was joking with is a black lady. The one who made the comment was a white one. I was amused greatly. An even more so when the manager told her she just got served. LOL.
Don't judge a book by it's cover. I listen to a LOT of music, I can also read, and write, and count past ten.
Now for some hood music...
HA!
