As usually happens, something good always comes along with something bad.
Good, I got moved to a scheduled run. Bad, the truck assigned to the run is a Volvo. Good, I don't have to share it with another driver. Bad, it's set at 65 and the other trucks on that route are turned up to 68.
Lots of miles though, and it gets me off the extra board. I passed on some decent schedules last bid with the idea that I liked daytime hours, and ended up with a lot of sub 400 mile days. I won't make that mistake again.

I'll tell you what Monday and Tuesday up here in Cleveland it was traffic Armageddon. A construction contractor didn't get a road lane open in time and backed up traffic from here to atternity on one of the highways caused a biblical sized traffic jam.
Then we had 2 high speed police chases which ended up with one State Trooper car head on into a telephone poll (no body was hurt or injured) and on Monday another police chase that landed a Wickliffe, Ohio police car into the side of a house on Waterloo Road and I-90.
It was 2 days of traffic Armageddon!road_runner, misterG and Fuelinmyveins Thank this. -
Alright, I’d like to kick the ### of the nitwit that came up with the notion of small boxes packed on a giant pallets.
No reason whatsoever for it other than to get one over on us so they can pay for 1 skid instead of 3road_runner, misterG and Mike2633 Thank this. -
Got 3 meal violations this month for taking 30 min break late. City drivers are required to take their 30 min break between 3rd and 6th hour. Sometimes it's hard to take them on time when they give you deliveries with appointments or closing times.

They really need to get more flexible on that for P&D. The law says 1st to 8th hour--no reason they can't go to an 8-hour limit for those of us that never know when we'll get the chance to grab a break.
