My hubby's trainer with Werner had his name on his truck doors. I don't remember off the top of my head if he was a million miler yet, but would be close.

Otherwise, I'll have to see if hubby knows. He just ran up to the store. Have to get back to ya on that one! -
OK, the scoop on the name on the door thing . . . done in Omaha, and it can be done at anytime. It's up to the driver. Hubby could have had it done when he got his truck, but didn't choose to do so.
Still have to get an answer on the million milers getting to spec their trucks.Baack Thanks this. -
Forgive me but I fail to see the horrible terrible issues here. Okay, so the trainer said don't grind gears, no shoes, and didn't train. There are resources for this issues, its called your SDM, a quick discussion with the SDM could have easily gotten him a new trainer, or moved from that trainer to another trainer when he went on vacation. If a family emergency happened they will get you home. They will rent you a car. Get you a bus ticket, and in extreme emergencies they will buy a plane ticket.
I cannot believe that you guys are jumping on this bandwagon when he didn't cite 1 attempt to work through the situation. He just expected everything to be 100% okay from day one? Name a company that trains students where that happens constitently?
As for the name on the door, thats hardly a deciding factor in chosing a company. Hell if its THAT important to you a decal can be made for like 10.00 at any sign store. I never even knew they offered that option.
As for million milers, I have an awesome photo of a 2 million miler truck. It was sorta my hope I'd get to be a million miler one day -_-Attached Files:

As a trainer for Werner I see guys give up before they even try, THe first bit of change, conflict or not going the way the trainee wanted it to, they jump ship. Iam not going to discredit these guys at all, mabey it was realy bad for them. But in the end, they have to look in the mirror and ask themselfs if they put the best effort they could at trying to make it happen, becuase life is all about makeing it happen, not giving up.
luvtheroad and former yankee Thank this. -
My trainer is a million miler accident free and according to him they do not get to spec there own truck nor color. Hell, he has a sticker for his efforts that he won't put on his truck because it has front end cosmetic damage done by the previous driver of the truck. His truck has 320,000 miles on it BTW. He was assigned it around 200,000 if I remember correctly. Just FYI.
Baack Thanks this. -
There is a huge difference between the 1 Million Milers and the true 1 Million milers. Yeah a FreightShaker Classic can hit the 1 Million mile mark, but with a Werner Driver I have my doubts.
I would only drive for Werner if I could drive a different truck every few months = I would enjoy the change from Freightshaker to Pete, Volva etc.
