I wish we were on percentage, but it’s mileage. If we were on percentage I wouldn’t be running this hard, but I like the lanes we run, and our customer base, and the company as a whole.

Another reason I love it here, even if I’m on a mileage contract. Last quarter with our fuel discount and fuel surcharge I paid just a little over .11 cents per gallon for fuel.
Vic Firth Thanks this. -

My fuel average for the second quarter was 7.25 mpg, but on this trip I’m getting right at 8 mpg with only 3257 lbs in the box. I would say the average weight I pull is about 25k in the box. Some a lot lighter, and a few grossing out at 78K.
When I fueled in Hooker, Oklahoma today with our discount I paid $2.54 at the pump, they base our fuel surcharge at 6 mpg, our fuel surcharge is currently .34 a mile. On this trip I’m averaging 8mpg, so after the fuel tax in Oklahoma that tank of fuel cost me .12 per gallon.Last edited: Aug 30, 2018

I had a 0630 appt this morning, I arrived at 0610, in a a door at 0620 and paperwork in hand by 0645. I drove 6 miles away to reload, I had a 1000 appt. checked in at 0745, currently being loaded at 0800. I will take this to Missouri for a delivery Sunday, then pick up a preloaded trailer in KCMO going to Brasselton, Ga.

So I crossed into New Mexico out of Arizona on I40 when I got to the scale/port of entry I saw what remains of the truck/Greyhound crash. They are conducting the NTSB investigation there, saw what was left of the truck and the bus was still on a hook. Sent chills through me as I passed.
The wreck occurred at MM50 as I drove by there I had a few observations, the median is maybe 15 ft wide in that section, and 2 miles prior there is a 3 mile long jersey wall that would have prevented the horrific tragedy had the driver blown the tire in that section of road. Very sad!intrepidor and Vic Firth Thank this. -

Do they have any of the annoying equipment in their trucks? I.e. bendex, cameras or sensors?
