So ... what are the other major changes at Abilene over the last year and a half? I see the new green trucks keep rolling in every year... truck wash is up and running... gone from 4 to 5 digit truck numbers... at least a couple people in the Home Office have shifted seats.
Anything else?4mer trucker and Redtwin Thank this. -
They have a separate trailer bay now for trailer repairs.
Scale on the yard doesn't work, hasn't worked in over a year.
They started getting persnickety about driving off-duty or logged out. Some folks have been written up.MidWest_MacDaddy Thanks this. -
Do I recall correctly that they bumped up the governor a few MPH? And something about an increase in CPM too? (Maybe a year ago now at this point)

72 on cruise, 69 on pedal. We’ve got raises, what the starting pay is eludes me, I just know what I make. we’ve got a very attainable monthly mileage bonus, a penny if you run over 10K and not run anything over. We also get a Christmas paid bonus for all miles run from 1/1-11/30. Just found out from the best reliable source that our health insurance has been completely overhauled. And of course, our hometime is top shelf.

Ok, rant time. Got up at 3am yesterday in Barstow. Had 78 miles to delivery in Chino. Got there at 4:30am, was empty at 5:30. Get a load assignment, go to Compton, load and bring it back to Colton. In the height of the morning rush. No problem, I’m use to this type of traffic. Get the pick up done and on my way back I get another load assignment. This is where it goes south. I’m thinking because I did Cole a favor, my load will be sitting in Colton to go back east. It was, except I had to finish getting it loaded. 3 more pick ups to finish the load. Long Beach, Santa Ana, and LA. All either street loading or blindside backing.
The good company boy I am, I did it. After closing my doors, it was 4pm California time. I had 3:18 left in my day, as I was getting off the 60 freeway going to the Petro, my clock went into violation. It took me 3:18 minutes to drive 53 miles.
The rant part? I’m now sitting here at the Petro getting 2 bad tires replaced and a light issue addressed. I’m now doing a reset so I have time to get this load back to Richmond then go home for my hometime.Redtwin and Silverdriver Thank this. -
