Why don't one of you Rich truckers open a truck stop and have free parking. It's only 10-20 million dollars to open a new truck stop.

While 10-20 million is a bit high ...
Loves was planning on putting a truck stop outside Flint last year. One of the newspaper articles had a quote from one of the project managers. "It costs about 750k to open a new location."

 

If a truck stop charges $100 per night for 20 parking spaces and every night it’s filled up then there’s a market for it. As a matter of fact, if those spots are filled up every night then thay are charging too little for it. They under valued it. What rights do they have to do this? The same right you as a trucker can demand the highest possible price you can get away with to your customers or employers.
Basic economics goes both ways. It’s a form of negotiation between two free entities.

 

They can take their free enterprise and i hope they choke on it. If you have to pay to park, or reserve a spot at a travel plaza. Maybe this is not the job for you. Grow a set, let em drop, put on your big girl panties, and suck it up Buttercups. Driving a truck in this country is not for the faint of heart.

 

I would, unfortunately i would have standards as to those whom i let park on the property. I would have a restaurant with real food that would kill most of you fast food fanatics. No Buffet, my own wrecker, to tow away those lazy disrespectful people who think the fuel island is their personal parking spot, free coffee for drivers at the restaurant, and free thermos fill up, Homestyle cooking with healthy choices, No 4 wheelers, or 4-wheeler parking, No R.V's allowed, Recreational reptile free property, well lite parking area. Sound good to you. I will start that GO Fund me page real soon to collect the money for the property, and to have the new truck stop built. I will let you know when it is open. I predict opening in 2030
