    For loads like that I have two belly (cinch) wraps, one in the front and one in the back. It adds to fore and aft gripping power and stabilized side to side motion both in the front and in the back.

    Would going over one and under the next, with the adjacent strap going under the first and over the next, possibly help here?

    Not sure what you call it, but I think that’s what I’ve seen you guys do with bundles of rebar.

    That’s only really nessarry if there is no blocking between bundles. Not that loading with a gap and no blocking is acceptable in any way but lazy shippers do it all the time.

    4x4 and chain blockhead may be worth building for that load. 15min max.

    Edge protectors on the trailer is surpsuring. Is the trailer that sharp?

    Yep. The edges are sharp so unless the straps are coming straight down, its either use protectors or lose straps.
