I know people who were training dedicated at Swift and leasing that made 4K weekly but they were making 4K before they held out for taxes. Regardless, that is incredibly unprofessional for him to be flaunting what he’s making to his student. Right now he’s supposed to be teaching you how to survive literally. Down the road some he can teach you to make money. At any rate, my trainer did the exact same thing to me except it was every single day. I was at Swift and I made them pay me for every single day that I sat for 24 hours without driving while he was on home time. He also flaunted his checks. I shut that down real quick though, when I busted out a calculator and showed him how much he was leaving on the table in exchange for his 1800-2500 checks. I was of the mindset that I was there on his truck for 2 reasons... to learn by doing, and to repay him for his teaching by making him as much money as possible.

He wasn’t of the same mindset. Anyway... if Prime doesn’t fix it quick, check out Jim Palmer/Wil Trans. They haul prime reefer freight and have similar training to Prime, with better trainers and 99% of them are company trainers.

If you can, at either company, tell them you’d prefer to train with a trainer who is a company driver. Most of what I learned from my trainer was #### that would not fly as a company driver. I didn’t know how to follow a fuel route or even scale a load.

    No excuse for that.

My so called trainer finally texted me, saying that he was leaving out tomorrow morning, with no idea as to an ETA here in Mississippi.

I have been sorely tempted to say the Hell with it, and go with another company. Still am to be honest. I've already put out some feelers

But counter weighing that? Several . The primary one being that due to a veterans "discount " I've only a.nine month contractual obligation to Prime.

At this point in time? I.need to be working, and bring sone money in

Sonim going to embrace the suck for now, suck it up, and get these last 20k miles knocked out.

Taken it one day at a time

So you’ve been home for 8 days and Prime didn’t try and get you a new trainer? What a company.

    TEMPTED?

I thought you would have already?

    You married to this company?

If not, get going, leave ... stop getting walked all over.

    Feelers?

Screw that idea, APPLY and APPLY MORE!

You are sitting there doing what?

    NOTHING.

So how much does it cost to apply to another company?

    NOTHING.

    What do you marines say?

Oh yeah, great saying ... Improvise, Adapt and Overcome

    Why do you say that?

Don't disappoint the Marine Mascot, get out of this crap.
