That picture is really unique. No colors but it is still outstanding. You put up some of the most awesome pictures on here. Are you in the right occupation?

    Yes, I’m sure.

I used to get paid to take pictures. When I was a younger fella, I worked for a daily newspaper. Darkroom work, ran the press, insert machine, etc. Photography was the only part I liked. So I really worked hard at it. Got numerous AP and OPA awards, had photos in magazines, and even had one internationally published. Released on the worldwide AP wire, back in the days when they still used that. It was a pic of a rainbow with a sun-lit oil rig at the end, standing amid a golden wheat field. “Oklahoma’s Pot of Gold” they called it.

Then came the internet, and made all photos accessible by anyone. And camera phones, which made everyone a photographer. Kinda made my work obsolete in a way.

Truckin was always what I wanted to do anyway. When I was a kid, I never said “I wanna be a photographer,” it was always “I wanna be a trucker.” I have no doubt that I am where I’m supposed to be. So I just piddle with photography as a hobby nowadays.

Thank you for the compliment, sir.

Did you notice a difference in mileage/performance going from straights to a muffler?

Got a second one for turn and burn as soon as I roll back into the yard on Tuesday. Probably be out that way Wednesday/Thursday as well.

Dispatch is telling me these runs are really picking up. Might become a regular thing for us.

some smart $#&# pencil pusher went to UK and thought they have some cool devices on the Volvo's.

I could be convinced to drive it. Wouldn't want to run it in the winter though. Would get too dirty too easily.
