How do drivers generally feel about driver facing cameras? I of course wanna have the evidence of their right doing in accidents, but at the same time I don't want to alienate any drivers. Thanks

Forward facing fine. Driver facing? I would expect to see a piece of juicy fruit stuck to it shortly after departure.

I suppose they would make a good hat rack.

I know that I will never drive for a company that feels they have to watch me. Film the road with as many cameras as you want, but not me. I'm a man of integrity, if a bad situation arises take my word as truth and leave it at that unless something proves otherwise.

If you feel the need to have cameras watching your drivers, you should probably find new drivers. I wouldn't drive for somebody who wants a camera facing me, I don't think a camera proving the driver looked out the other window when he sideswipes somebody is going to save you as a company from a lawsuit.

I accused my dispatcher of slacking off and not planning my day better. He blamed it on a local driver. So did the last dispatcher I got rid of. I told him to try and understand the hours I work while he comes in at 8, an hour for lunch and leaves at 5. He got mad because I assumed too much. He said I take offense. You don't know me. I said what part of that was I wrong about? We disconnected.

Do not, and or will not ever drive with one pointed at my face, and listening to me speak, while being recorded unwillingly.
