Just the opposite they turn shorter as one follows the other. Ever seen 1 of those city busses that have a pinion in the middle same concept. I only pulled van doubles twice on 100 mile rd trips. It was easy but still I was crazy nervous. Big deal with them is the rear one wiggling if it’s heavier than front one tail wags the dog.My father wrecked a set on I -80 in Pa he said he knew it was all over when the rear trailer kissed the front fender on Cab.Said he didn’t know such a thing was even possible!!! He ended up Cab hanging out over edge of mountain hanging by fifth wheel. Had a broken shoulder. So he joked at least I get a long Christmas vacation!!We almost lost him on that one.

42 tires? A guy could spend all his spare time just bumping tires.

They call them B-Trains 11 axles. Supposedly pushed into law by Ford to haul more steel out of River Rouge Plant

it is scary at first, no doubt..you do not have to take corners any wider than usual. i was told my first time, "don't look back and keep making steering corrections, as you will wiggle that last trailer".

it was "part of my job, as a line haul driver", to pull them. however, they ARE a pain in the butt to hook up, and unhook...especially oin bad weather, VERY COLD weather, and HOT MUGGY days or nights....

i could never back up very far with them but there are drivers that can not only back them up, but put them (the last one) into a dock, well BEFORE he unhooks them,,,!!!!

i got paid extra for pulling pups, and for the set up and breakdown of them...

you'll do fine, LISTEN to whoever teaches you..>!!!!!

and DO NOT stray far from the right lane, if at all possible your first time or two..

But they run a lot of gravel etc. Mi outlawed “double bottom tankers” in late 70s pups hauling fuel due to a rash of fiery accidents

Probably the best design for combinations.

Lol that’s what my Father told me don’t lol back and get caught up trying to correct wiggle! I smashed my finger hooking up dolly. Showed up late at delivery still bleeding. They cut me some slack. Trip back with 2 empties had me nervous. I decided after that 1 trailer was enough!
