What part of the country are you in? I know a holistic chiropractor that combines specific exercise with adjustments to get and keep you straight. I never believed in it until I got desperate enough to go see him. Some really can help.
Discouraged, injured, went back to work, now the pain.

The OP’s question was is it ok to drive. Not a single one of you has a right to tell him yes or no.Trucking in Tennessee Thanks this. -
I correct myself. You do have a right to say what you please but the audacity to do so is mind blowing.
-
We all speak from personal experience but the experiences are as different as the people having them.
OP...you've been given a good cross section of advice. Do what works the best for you.
And good luck to you. Let us know what happens.x1Heavy and Trucking in Tennessee Thank this. -
To the OP!
Not all Chiropractors are quacks. If they don't mention anything about wanting to do x-rays before they adjust you. Then you need to run.
I have not had surgery, but the nerve pain and pelvic till gets me now and again. I like to see mine every Friday, but I can't always get there. If I miss 2-3 weeks I feel like I could just crawl in a hole and die.
2 other things that have helped is. 1 my seat placement my 2016 KW driver's seat has a tilt feature that allows the whole seat to sort of recline back. It allows the front of the seat bottom to be angled up instead of the seat bottom being so flat. 2 as cheesy as it may seem I ordered a seat cushion from Amazon. It really helps to take the pressure off the hips.
And, as others have said diet, lower back stretching and exercise.Trucking in Tennessee Thanks this. -
That may well be what you need to eliminate the pain. Its just simple exercises that once they show you what is required you can do them on your own. Surgery is always a final option.faux_maestro Thanks this. -
Since I couldn't walk very well due to the pain I was referred to doctor who specializes in ankles. Who told me I have lesions in my ankles but since the left leg is way worse then my right that this couldn't be the root of my pain. Because my let leg is fine.
I'm sorry to all those that have been left out. I haven't been getting notifications for this so it has been hard to keep up.
I still want to thank everyone for their responses. I did decline physical therapy as Google has helped A lot.
I was in a financial rut, and me and my family were living in a basement. So I went back to work. My doctor did release me the day before I was hired.
Physical labor probably wouldn't be the best for me. I have noticed since my surgery I have become lop sided. I'm definitely still favoring my stronger side from before the surgery. Guess this would be a good starting point.
I'm going to continue my job for the time being as I have too many bills and people counting and depending on me.
I'm going to also stop making excuses and strengthen my core and lose weight.
I really do appreciate everyone's thoughts and input. I didn't start this intending for arguments or misunderstandings to happen.
Also I think I left this out but my tilt that happens is due to severe muscle spasms on my right side. I guess they are so bad it just sticks. As for the leg pain that happens in severe cold. ( Last season it was -10 in some places.) Other then knowing what nerve it is, its cause is still undetermined. Maybe just damaged? I was close to losing control of my bodily functions before my procedure.
Any recommendations for stretches and back exercises that worked better then others?
realize everyone's case is different. -
Look into yoga. Some swear by it. Also, for nerve damage, see a neurosurgeon. That's their speciality. One did my back because the sciatic pain was so bad I couldn't endure anymore.

DDP Yoga seems to help a lot of people, but eating healthier is part of it too. DDP has a app or can download on a laptop so you can do the exercises while OTR. Stay hydrated and try adding a banana or 2 to your daily meals. They may help with the muscle cramps and spasms.
