I have a leaking oil pan gasket on my MBN that I want to replace. I see that there is a couple aftermarket 1 piece gaskets instead of the puzzle gasket that CAT has. Does anyone have any experience with these and if so which 1 piece did you go with or is the CAT gasket better? Thanks

Go with the Cat 1 piece gasket IMO. High grade rtv sealer applied at the front and rear housing seams. I hate that puzzle piece gasket with the passion. High tack is your best friend with that one though if you go with it.

Most ones I have seen on a C-15 are one piece pan seal/gasket. I think BS ones used multi piece gaskets. Depends on stiffner plate. What is your ESN and we can look it up.

Yours has single piece isolator gasket P/N 168-5248.

Any idea what gasket for MXS93650? Thanks

Pretty much the same block as a single turbo C15 so same gasket as mentioned above.

The "puzzle gasket was for the e- models. C-15 uses a one pc "rubber" gasket and bolt isolators. Make sure it isn't just one of the isolators leaking instead of the pan gasket.
Oxbow and Diesel Dave Thank this. -
I used an IPD pan gasket that was suggested by spsauerland and it was easy to install and is not leaking.
Oxbow Thanks this.
