So i start with swift on Feb. 23rd. I have read all these bad reviews for swift. There is one thing that i have noticed about all of these bad reviews. I haven't seen any for the NW region of Swift. I'm Talking Troutdale, Or., Sumner, Wa., or Lewiston, Id. I am going to the Troutdale terminal. ANY comments about them????? Please someone give me something to go on here.
Thanks,
Aaron

I wish you well. I hope it works out for you.

We have never had a problem with the Troutdale terminal or any of the terminals out west. We are out of Denver. Florida is a different story though. What I don't understand is just yesterday our DM said Swift was scaling down in order to make the company the "right" size, but yet they keep hiring. I don't get it.

Just go into this relationship with your eyes open and mouth closed.
Good Luck! -
Ragtopjr How long did you say you were driving seems to me that you had to start some time not long ago.

I am waiting to hear your point with this?
Nowhere have I said I was perfect nor have I said i was a seasoned veteran of the road.
I have logged a fair number of miles over North America, and seen Swift in action all over the continent.
Is it only them? No its not!
However if you read my post in the Swift Area of the site, I challenge you to show me where that trainee was getting his moneys worth!
I dont look down upon Swift drivers for who they work for....
But you better believe I give them a wide berth! -
ragtopjr. I only said that because you sounded like you were upset about new drivers working for peanuts. Ok I'm new and everybody has to pay dues in this biz. I know and I'm doing this because I want to do it. I always wanted to drive a big rig and My kids are grown so now I have the time to do it.

I truly dont know what Swifts experienced drivers make, but the company can shave a lot of money by only paying 26 cpm instead of 37 to 40 cpm (Again I dont know what the actual pay rate is).
P.S. I started at 40 cpm, and averaged around 12 000 per month last year...
This year remains to be seen.... -
Like I said we all have to pay dues and I'm just learning the biz and someday I know I will also be replaced just want to get some exp for now. I don't like changes but if that day comes I'll be ready
