#### dude, your time must not be worth anything or you must be desperate to take 1 dollar a mile garbage
LOL!!!! good luck going broke....Double Dime, 4mer trucker, cke and 2 others Thank this. -
You guys keep hauling dollar a mile freight there’ll keep being dollar a mile freight. Most of the successful guys I know don’t haul it and do well for themselves. There’s more to it than just the freight price, you lose a day or more of revenue to make almost nothing or even lose makes no sense. You can dead head and be under better paying freight then that’s makes sense.
Tonkatrucksaresmall, TripleSix, Double Dime and 8 others Thank this. -
Ofcourse, if we all would NOT do it then perhaps there would be NO 1 dollar a mile freight....

Lets say you found a hot load paying $3.50+ per mile going into an area where theres typically cheaper freight coming out. Theres a load 1000 miles away from your delivery paying $3/mile. You find a load paying $1/mile going relatively close to where that $3/mile load is. You refuse to take the $1/mile load on principal so now you have to deduct the fuel cost to drive that 1000 miles to get that $3/mile load. I on the other hand take the cheap load to get me where i need to be to get the better paying freight. Ive now grossed $1000 more than you. Please explain to me how im the one going broke? Its simple math. Maybe you should consider taking a basic college course in economics before showing everyone on the board how dumb you are? There are areas of the country where freight has been and always will be cheap. Sometimes the freight going into these areas pays phenomenally well. If youre running your business on a load by load basis rather than average revenue per mile, then youre not going to be around long. -
I guess common sense isnt your strong suit so ill try to keep it simple and explain in terms someone with an 8th grade education can understand.
So you're telling us that you like hauling $1 dollar a mile freight? You realize that someone is using you, your time, your equipment and then throwing you away like toilet paper because they know only a fool will run for $1 dollar a mile. These brokers laugh at you guys every time you pull one of those cheap loads.
In the amount of time it took you ####ing around and wasting a potential day doing a cheap load, you could have dead headed back to your regular customer and got another good load. Oh wait, you do have regular customers that pay well, dont you? Hmmmmm......
Carry on.peterbilt_2005, Double Dime, stwik and 7 others Thank this. -
