OK. Then I like @SAR's idea. Your socket with an impact on low. The socket should hold up better that way, at least I think it should.

I have said it numerous times on TTR. The Pete I drive is the first truck I drove with discs...and I Friggin' love them!!! They dirty up your wheels pretty good but work great!! I heard it wasn't a straight up axle swap though. I can't remember where I read it but heard there were other parts you needed.

I gave a guy 40 bucks the other day to give mine a quick hand job, she did need it though.

You need the spring snubbers and quick release valves, that and maybe the drag link? I found several 587 axles and, as far as I can tell they use the same link. The spring snubber is the big need, it keeps the spring from wrapping up on hard braking.

Now that I think about it...I believe the article I was reading the guy was trying to put discs on the existing axle and it wasn't doable without the axle swap. Let us know how that turns out. I'm sure you'll love them!

My aunt and uncle live in a small town just east of us....well just my aunt now. Back in the 70's they was in the living room watching a motorcycle race bam.

A fella lost a set of duals uptown....they ran down.... Came across the sidewalk....jumped the steps on their porch and crashed into their living room wall.

I spent ALOT of time at track meets. My sister was a star hurdler and high jumper. Set the state record as a sophomore. Watch alot of Olympic champions....

Never seen that...that I would remember...
