2007 Freightliner century with Eaton fuller clutch problems

    That’s the problem I don’t want him to start guessing and in return cost me a lot of money.

    replaced the clutch.

    my guess is something broke in the clutch and it will need to be replaced. ask the mechanic how he came to the conclusion that the clutch is broken.

    Same thing happened to me 6 or 7 years ago. Guess what, just about every shop is gonna say replace the clutch.
    Now you might find a shop who will drop tranny, pull clutch, take apart, inspect and repair whatever the problem is. But there Bill and 30 day parts warranty. Is gonna have you saying I could have replaced the clutch, been back on road two days sooner, and SAVED money. Plus had a 1 year parts and labor warranty.

    He just drove it didn’t even go under it and said it was the clutch

    Bring it to the dealer, get the clutch plates and pressure plate replaced, have the bushings in the bell housing replaced, get the flywheel surfaced, and replace the rear main seal.

    Get it done right.

    Yes you were right the mechanic found a broken spring in the clutch, so I had to replace it
