    Metton is not weldable. Ashland Valvoline make a plyobond that is used to do repairs.

    I'm not far from the anheuser busch plant. I'm on the north/east side of 610 on Mcarty st.

    Spent my first overnight in a pipe yard up that way. Frontier tube.

    Not from 04 and newer. That dang plastic composite. Saw, good luck my 06 did the same did the plastic weld like that lasted one month !

    Mine is an '04. Going to give it a try and see, it's not like I have anything to lose by trying it.

    I wonder if it would help if after welding it if I installed something with epoxy on the backside to stiffen it up. I don't know... we'll see.

    I talked with engineers at both the company that makes Metton and Ashland, they were very helpful about bonding. The stuff they suggested was shown below, this has a 10 minute window to work with, they have other formulas with up to 30 minute work time.
