Your running team so most if the time you don't need two beds right? Ok so next time at truck stop ask/buy 3 furniture pads from any mover. Take the pad/blanket fold them in half length wise. 3 layers of that make a nice soft mattress when needed. Lay them on floor in etween seats up thru sleeper. DO NOT LAUGH you will be surrised how much you like it. I no movers who have Volvo 780 that keep the table up. And dont wanna climb ladder into top bunk. So they do this every night for weeks in end.

We are teaming temporarily until it’s paid off which should be next month. Then we will be getting a truck for him. Although it’s temporary , it’s just cramped

2x4s in the corners of the bunk. Build a 2x4 frame to fit on top and some 2x4 support spanning across the inside of the frame. Put a thin piece of plywood on top of this frame. And then get a mattress that fits. The bunk will be inexpensive, yet strong and sturdy and will not require the destruction of the factory interior. And you will be able to remove it when you’re done.

You can destroy those two cubbies, and get a bigger bed installed. Just install a plywood behind both seats. The top bunk area, is big enough to install a big compartment or cupboard.

I drove a Pete 387 with a queen sized mattress. Light wood compartment on the top bunk and painted hardwood behind the seats. I think you can go to Home Depot and spend less than $1k.

Ok guys, this restraint thing has been around since at least 1997.

And the officers won't give a crap who is sleeping and who isn't, they want to see a proper restraint that has a proper securement.

There are plenty of instances where you two are sleeping. Particularly with spouse.

We once wasted almost three days on a botched dispatch to Americold in Salinas CA. That entire week was a loss. Most of that was sleeping or watching videos until sick of it.

I also have to question why did the truck get bought without a top bunk in the first place.
