They look even more alike without the external air cleaners

If you are having a particular truck built to order, I think that's awesome.

Whats the matta with you? You don't like it or something?

    ack.

They really insist on chroming. UGH. I don't mind me some chrome, but for the love of god, lose the headlights and black out that awful grill. There was nothing wrong with the previous Eagle Grill. No use in trying to reinvent the wheel and retool the factory any more than necessary.

And two inch company pipes? Are they serious? That truck seems like a Freightliner SD122 which I actually would buy today if I wanted a strong day cab. this IH smells a little bit of BS.

Im not here to be difficult or anything, but there is a big good reason I hang on to the older iron. People had taste in design and building of those things. what in the world are these .. these... cretins doing in the design room in the back?

I have to tell ya. I bought a new T680 2016 and I have no regrets. Very reliable, made the money. But now I'm going over my W9 and this thing is just built much more solid. What I need is there. No extra frills and software that is unnecessary. No BS. Can't wait to put it to work.

    REO6205 and x1Heavy Thank this.

    AWEESOME.

That pretty much what sells anything to me in way of vehicles. Dispose of the BS. Let's see what horsies we have when you step on them.

The frame looks much thicker, you can feel it just closing the door, more metal, less plastic. Just looking at the dash when you turn the key, less graphics. Looking under the hood, it's alot cleaner, less components hoses, and wires.

I know the fuel mileage will be significantly lower, but I run oversized and overweight. So fuel mileage is not the most important thing. It's more about capability and reliability.

Time will tell. The T800 was supposed to go bye bye shortly after the release of the T880 as well. I wonder when the C500 will get changed?

Crush cans on the back of the sleeper on the 680 allow the doors to close easier than on the B cab, no such pressure release device on the B cab except to crack a window. Same amount of plastic in both cabs, plastic has been in these cabs for a long time, nothing new about plastic in a truck cab.

Less graphics on the dash of the W900 because you’re looking at a display and layout that has not been updated since 2006. Pretty close to the same software in both trucks.

Under the hood, W900 has more room so it looks less cluttered, still have to have the same hoses and electrical harness for the engine.

I have seen the stripped down 2.1m cab( T680, T880 and now W990), it really is well designed and sealed cab. It’s really just personal preference, I think both cabs are solid. I’m currently in a B cab but I’m looking forward to being able to order the W990. I like the new design and have always liked the flat floors of the new 2.1m cabs, just didn’t like the looks of the aero trucks, now I get both the look and 2.1m cab.
