1750 ish, guess that’s not the sweet spot :/
I had seen in a forum on those trucks that guys were #####ing they’re speed limited to 99. They’re all in reg pickups, I felt like that’s plenty, especially being lot of them have big tires that push the actual speed higher/ 105-/+.
Seems to like to spin a bit faster than 13/15 liter motors even tho it has torque down low.
Average so far is 11.6-11.8 mpg. My 90k average on my 1500 is 14.5. 3.42 rears, 285/55/20.
Maybe I’ll try running it just in 5th on the highway see what it does.PoleCrusher, Tug Toy, sawmill and 17 others Thank this. -
Welp, my buddy that bought my turbo decided to change all his fuel lines at my shop.....i let him do that. LOL . fired it up and it sounded like it was sucking air. Ask if he tightened all the fittings. Yep sure did. Screwed around with it for a while then slipped under it .....well son of a gun found a loose fitting ! Still wouldn't start. After a while I got po'ed. Grabbed can of starter in a can. A few snorts fired right up ! Out leader called and offered a load, without hesitation I spun around and hollard "Hey Joe ya got a load to do". Killed two birds with one stone. Got rid of him from my shop and got a crapy load covered. LOL I can only take so much of someone leaching off of me !!

Today was a first. Finally got the 20' handrail cap delivered, 2 of the 5 pieces were bent. 1 of them I could make work, with a small amount of waste. The other 1 was going to have about 6' of waste. The driver asked how much they were worth, I told him $24/ea. He said he could pay cash up to $25 for damaged freight, then there would be no paperwork, no claim, and no lengthy phone conversations to file the claim. I took it, since the company basically reimbursed me the cost of the material.
Anybody else ever do/hear of this? It was an LTL company.PoleCrusher, johndeere4020, Tug Toy and 19 others Thank this. -
