That’s an odd answer. Is a 16 tire a 35 ton trailer?

 

I know it is over kill and a ton trailer is mostly just a 5 axle set up anyway - so being a “2 axle” doesn’t hurt. The OP asked if there are 15000 lbs 35 Ton trailers .... and there are. I didn’t say that it would the perfect trailer - as I pointed out it is a short well/short neck trailer that is expensive. The question is what is he trying today accomplish that a 15000 lb trailer allows that a 20000 lb doesn’t.

 

And I not sure if they will anymore but you used to be able to order it as an 8 tire version. Cozad will make you one also.

 

A 16 tire Murray only weighs 15,000? I would guess he’s trying to haul 5000 more payload while staying under some weight be it 80,000 or some permit number.

 

Minimum 40 Ton - cozad makes a 44 ton

It will more than hold as a 35 ton
