Well despite being called a Liar.I learned something new and noteworthy.Good tool for a Company to keep CSA rating safe.Unlike DAC Every CDL holder is included courtesy of the DOT .
I couldn’t find what year it started only a reference to 2013. Good reason for a Driver to avoid Companies with bad ratings. So you’re not taken down with them.Works both ways.

I couldn’t find what year it started only a reference to 2013. Good reason for a Driver to avoid Companies with bad safety ratings as they could drag you down with them.My only question is how long does a violation stay on for. Seems like I heard something about 36 mos. Maybe that was CSA. Seemed odd since Safety Ratings for Companies are 30 months revolving. Any answers out there? No insults Please!!!

Why? Who says you have to violate the law even driving for a carrier that operates unsafely? Making that statement to me shows a lack of understanding personal accountability. I do admit that driving for a carrier with a bad reputation can lead to problems, however this does not mean you are forced to be dangerous. Just about every carrier out there have dispatch critters that either don't understand the HOS rules or they don't care. Same with permitting and equipment. All they want is you burning diesel. This is a deep and complex subject. However every active driver out there needs to understand what personal accountability means. You get stopped because you are operating illegally it is YOUR FAULT, not the carrier Being placed out of service because of HOS, permits or defective equipment is bad enough as it is. More then once I have said grow a pair and tell those jacklegs you WILL NOT operate a CMV illegally! Just before my last hospital stay in 2017 I was speaking to a person I know that is a recruiter. Somebody had contacted this person after being fired for insubordination. Turns out this driver had refused to operate with defective equipment. This recruiter helped get him hired.

    Yes and no.

Massive OOS equipment issues will indicate a company not worth driving for, as will systemic speed and HOS violations.

Yeah it is on the driver but it demonstrates the companies character.

As I stated it is a deep and complex issue. However the bottom line is whenever a driver is caught operating a CMV illegally it is that drivers fault. Does not matter what the carriers reputation is.

Absolutely matter when looking for a new company. If they have a history of allowing stuff like that to continue they are not worth the time for a phone call.

I wouldn’t work for a company with a poor rating simply because my time would be wasted with the increased inspections that come along with that poor rating. Or my time will be wasted avoiding scales.

How many drivers are out there that will take the time to stop and access this information? How many of the top 50 carriers do you think at some point have told a driver to operate illegally? It's been done to me! I think I drove for some generally good carriers. However there has been times when dispatch or even roadside assistance has told me go on ahead and take that trailer to a repair shop. Some of you people make it look like these bad carriers have their CSA scores and history's posted on their websites and warning signs posted outside saying avoid us because we are bad and operate bad unsafe equipment!

With all due respect one of the things that is bad about a carrier like say Swift is how tight they have had to get over the years. If you walk into a terminal and direct flatulence the wrong way somebody is there to write you up. Now before somebody gets all upset and verbose I could have also used 25 or 30 carriers in place of Swift. However hopefully I have made my point here.
