ok, let's look at this another way.

they could have had a serious incident where someone had a gun, on his person. there very well may be a no guns/weapons policy at that place, in fact, many do.

maybe some smart aleck driver (or who knows, maybe even a thief in a stolen truck, tried to gain access to rob the place...plausible these days, isn't it..???

and YES, they can detain you, for the police to come and grab you.....then what..????

again, MORE to this story that what we were told. there IS ALWAYS more to the story, as Paul Harvey would say.

 

WE ran 1200 per day, we COULD squeak out 1500 in 30 hours if need be.

As far as the charges, I see this as kidnapping or holding against will. No amount of money is worth this kind of trouble.

I guess it's safe to presume you two will be not loading there ever again.

Keep everything, document it all. Have a lawyer explore Civil Court. Recover your losses as much as possible against the individual guards if at all possible.

I just read the police report, you assaulted the Security guard by forcefully striking him in the chest...

So ya sounds like you've got a hot head and cant follow simple instructions, the result was you and wifey ended up getting a taste of your own medicine taken to the ground,cuffed up, and then taken to jail...

You could have simply kept your hands out of your pockets, informed the guard you weren't consenting to the search of your person or truck and that you were leaving... Of course this needs to be done in respectful grownup manner.....
