Blower motor switch went out. Would be an easy fix if I could get the dealer to send the right part.

Loaded some pine wood stove pellets out at the sawmill north of town. Delivers to Greeley. I was told they're going to put them into an oilwell. Ended up with 34 bags.

I was patrolling night shift, and what did I spy in a fenced in lot in the industrial park? A 2007 379, double J’s with 8 inch mitre cut straight pipes, 550 and 18sp, painted mocha pearl with maroon fenders. Covered in LED lights and pulling a 2006 50’ Wilson Cattlepot.

I say to myself “Self, you need to find who owns that truck so you can drive it.” One night an off duty cop out of his jurisdiction stops that truck on the road down from the industrial park. It’s a No Truck road, and I am patrolling that area. By the other cop’s description, I know it’s that bad@ss truck. Officer Gung Ho is all about me writing him a citation, I play the tough on crime role so he will leave.

“Sir, I need you to pull around there to where you park. I need to talk to you.” He lets out the ‘crap I’m getting a ticket sigh’ and pulls over there. I walk up and say “look, now that the idiot is gone, I need to talk to you about me driving this truck.” He’s surprised and says “for real?” I tell him I’ve been trying to catch him for a while so I could drive it, learn cattle hauling. His brother is up in the truck and pulls out a magazine, he’s like ‘hey, check this out’. I’m thinking it’s porn, and it turns out to be Large Car Magazine. Now you’re talking.

I got to run with them for a while.(he sold out) Once I let the air out and sat on the floor, tilted my hat to the side, and started callin everyone “Mobile” on the CB it was on from there. The one brother told me when I first started out of the travel plaza on the turnpike he was impressed with how smooth I shifted (I always baby the trucks I drive.) I told him when you drive a truck this fine, you gotta start slow so everyone can see you.

Yes that's what they did during this summer. It was a huge help. It used to get backed clear out on the road.

Got a call from a guy down the canyon today about working on a truck. He says it's a 74 Pete. Needs a lot of work....brakes, airlines, tie rod ends, ujoints, and a new PTO. This should be interesting. My hunch is that it's been neglected. He's supposed to be bringing it up on Thursday.

I was told once you switch to those you can stop navigating by road atlas and use menus instead.

This used to arrive monthly at our house for several years. There is so much fake news nowadays, yet it plainly states “The Price of Truth $2.” That’s a good price.
