    It's funny you say that. When I was a whole lot younger we had one of our water wells on a Valley center pivot start cavitating, called the well people out, they pulled it, checked and everything was good, plenty of water table etc. So they got the brilliant idea to dump ping pong balls down the casing to keep it from sucking air. It actually worked........ kind of. The well no longer had cavitation issues but the ping pong balls would plug the end gun and I was the one who got to climb the end tower and shimmy out to unscrew the nozzle to shoot the ball out.

    I don't know how many balls they put in the well but I do know I was out on than stupid end gun about once a week for a couple seasons.
