Unlike most 21 year olds fighting dishes or seriously poor fast food in effort to cook it my income was really very good in those days. Something on order of 800+ net weekly. To consider what that would have been in today's cash for inflation etc. You were looking at the purchasing power of approx 3000 net weekly.
What LtL jobs are home daily and make over $2000 weekly?

You say "take home" $2000+. There are a lot of variables here and each person's situation is different; If you look at my stubs, certain weeks, i may gross $1700, but i only take home $1200-1300-ish. Now, a normal man with a family and kids might take home $1400-$1500 on a $1700 gross............
There are drivers here where i'm at who gross $2000 or a little more per week both city and road. i have no idea what they "take home."
If you have a side business, you might be able to "take home" ALL that you gross.Last edited: Oct 18, 2018
rabbiporkchop, LtlAnonymous and Bob Dobalina Thank this. -
P.S.
Two guys left my barn about 3 years ago to go to Dominos. They were grossing over $3000 per week (100% match on 401K too). So, i would assume that they "took home" at least $2000.
Things may have changed over at dominos, but if they haven't then prepare to kill yourself. And if i had two twins pop up unexpectedly (a.k.a, "happy accident"), then i would probably be looking in this direction too...........rabbiporkchop, Mike2633 and Feedman Thank this. -

My "take homes" from mid June to now.
But i want to emphasize that everyone's tax situation is different; i'm single, have no tax shelters/side businesses and live in high tax area. i'm getting creamed.
Welcome to married/family life!rabbiporkchop, LtlAnonymous, Mooseontheloose and 3 others Thank this. -
P.S. When i said "prepare to kill yourself," i meant prepare to be humping boxes and working harder than you EVER IMAGINED at dominos or any other food service. Not kill yourself because you had twins----that's a wonderful thing.
Just wanted to make clear.Northeasterner, Lumper Humper, homeskillet and 4 others Thank this. -
P.P.S.
Looking at my grossesses, this does not seem to be enough if you have two new kids, the wife SHOULD stay home in general in this case at least for the first 7-10 years or longer(so now you got 4 mouths to feed, i hear boys eat more than girls when they become teens?) a new or normal sized house and two new cars (let's say one of them is a suburban).
Doesn't seem like enough, so yes, i can see your concern. And you probably DO need at least $2000 take home.
And where you live? This can make a big difference too!
What hobbies you got? You're probably going to have to give them up. Driving is now your hobby.rabbiporkchop and Mooseontheloose Thank this.
