We taught all 3 of my daughters to change tires, change their oil, troubleshoot stuff, etc. My 2 younger daughters still change their own oil. Our youngest has embarrassed more than 1 boyfriend over the years when it comes to vehicle maintenance. It made me laugh inside and set things up for a comment or two about manliness, which I took full advantage of.
Our oldest is married and her Man takes care of all that and more for her and my grandson.
My wife has helped instill these traits in our girls. To this day she still tells them,

"You can't depend on anybody to take care of you all the time, you have to be able to take care of yourself."

I once years ago dated a 6foot tall blonde that loved cars/hot rods/bikes because of her dad, and brothers. She knew some stuff. Pretty good deal except she liked to sleep with other guys, and I think girls too when I wasn't around.

    Guess I'm lucky.... :)

When I was deciding on what transmission to put in the 55 Chevy pickup, I told my wife, sure like a 4 spd but want it user friendly for you too..... She looked at me kinda funny and said.... maybe you need to ask my Dad who his dump truck driver was!!
I had honestly forgotten about her times Steer'n and Gear'n a single axle with a 5spd / 2spd setup.:).

I wish I had time to stay and chat to the guy, looked younger like me, but I had to get down the road. Sounded either Detroit or CAT, but not B model. Maybe 1693? I wish I could have found out more.

Ok, I'm gonna sound stupid here and ask how you load that piece in the picture without the tractor part ? The good part is it won't be the first time I've sounded stupid to y'all. So at least that's out of the way. No anxiety here.

Im not hating on women, just having fun. My wife is younger than me. Ny nickname for her is Blister. Cause they show up when the work is done! She is a great mom.

Had a friend’s stepdaughter tell me recently that “men are evil violent rapists.” I told her that women were stupid, shortsighted and mentally fragile.

She seemed shocked when I said this. She said,”Not all of us are like that.”

‘To the weak, I become weak that I may gain the weak...”

To the unreasonable, I become unreasonable that I may gain the unreasonable. I find that when I run into someone unreasonable, if I too am unreasonable, they will try to reason with me.
