I slide mine that way still when loaded even though my new trailer slides easy as it keeps from putting excessive wear on driveline

What about steer brakes locking up in snow? Even a four wheeler w/ anti lock brakes will do it.I had that happen a few yrs back with a rental car -hit ice patch while turning into gas station- let off brake and steered into gas station avoiding a pole. Brakes worked good -good enough to lock up and cause vehicle to slide straight with wheels turned.Brand new car with anti lock brakes. I still back my steers off a little more than others. Smaller brake chambers on front Anti Lock Brakes. I don’t care they will still lock up as there is less weight on steer axle and IMO more of a chance to lock up in snow and ice

I had fronts backed off a little too much once . Did a brake job and adjusted them as always. That day I also learned the max travel on steer is 1.75 not 2 inches due to smaller chamber. Also learned 10 % allowable rule doesn’t apply to steers. I told him no way I adjusted those brakes myself!! He replied Then you don’t know how to adjust brakes!! Unfortunately he was right. OOS adjust front brake and left. I still back fronts off a little more than others but not too much.Still don’t fully trust so called anti- lock brakes.

I believe there's a limiting valve so max air doesn't go to the front brakes. Years ago, there used to be a switch on the dash for "slippery and dry" conditions that I believe, cut off the air to the front brakes when slippery.

They are for snow. Just for playing in the snow in an open parking lot. Especially easy to whip around an empty tanker.

I drove a straight truck with one for some reason... anyway lock the diff pull the Johnny bar and drive like you’re ken block.
