I’m going to truck school it’s been about 2 weeks. I already have my learners permit, I will be taking the test in about 3 weeks wanted to know when I go to the dmv to take the test will it affect me getting my CDL? Or will it affect me getting a job more?
My dad is a owner operator and has 3 trucks so I will be working for him for couple years.
I will be able to get my class A still right?
I don’t need to look for a job since I will already have one lined up.
Have 2 accidents in the last 2 years will it effect me getting cdl

No I won’t be able to get my CDL or no it won’t affect me from getting my CDL?
Sorry -
Getting a license has nothing to do with your driving record. It could however effect you getting hired due to insurance.
lovesthedrive, CrappieJunkie and RSB34 Thank this. -
Okay thanks I was just getting worried, I will be working for my dad as he has 3 trucks and 3 trailers he owns. So I’m not worried about finding a job since I will have one already after I get my CDL

Your dad has to have insurance too.lovesthedrive Thanks this.

No it will not affect your getting a CDL. Anything that would stop you from getting a CDL would have stopped you from getting your CLP.

Most insurance companies are not going to insure you
lovesthedrive Thanks this.
