Haha i believe that. Food service is labor on steroids. Good advice my friend. Are you in Florida as well?

Look into mondelez global not sure if they’re down there or not . We just drop pallets at grocery stores start between 2-3 am. Guys keep praising LTL but it’s like 8 am to 8pm how does anyone have a life doing that

That happens, but it’s the exception rather than the rule.

I do not want to drive nights. Is there a truck driving job that only works 40 hours per week 9am to 5pm?

    Nope.

Nobody that is hiring......only openings are nights, weekends, ungodly
hours, nasty work conditions, etc. Good jobs with good work conditions have
no openings...….those drivers stay with their jobs.

I started off in food service on the suicide ramps working for Sygma. They gave me a start and I was local/home everyday and for a newbie it paid very well. That ramp just about killed me though. I decided to try no touch on a dedicated regional and I found that no touch meant no pay. At least what I was used to doing food service. You may find the same. Switched to P&D local, weekends off, but it will take a long time to get the schedule that I wanted. That 9-5, M—F gig is going to be tough to find and an employer won’t have to pay any newbie as much to do it because there’s a lot more willing to do it.
