I've been looking for a while and keep running into the whole you need 3 month experience.
Xpo, ups, new Penn all want me to work on the dock and said it could be a few years till you would be actually driving weekly. I personally did not spend the $5000 to work on a dock.
Most regionals are out 5.5 days at a time.
Seems like regional and otr are the only options.
I've checked into ww transport as well but there not accepting new drivers because of limited trainers!
Anyone have any advice?

Harrisburg is a great place for many trucking jobs. We can give you names of probably a couple dozen companies that will hire you.
Do you have endorsements?
Do you want west coast runs? -
Try ACME, or any food service outfit like McLane. You're going to be fingerprinting freight, but that's all you've got unless you want to go OTR with a mega until you get some experience.
Regional isn't so bad, since you're home every weekend.
Otherwise, work the dock. You'll get a seat sooner than you think. -
I have all my endorsements.
Tanker hazmat doubles
Just no experience
Been craigslist and indeed hunting hour after hour for weeks on end.
Chinatown I know your more of an otr guy based of your posts. I own a house so I would prefer not to live in a truck weeks on end.
I don't mind the whole labor side of it.
I've heard to stay far away from Sysco and sygma as they work you to the bones. -
PI&I Motor Express is flatbed and Teamsters Union.

Just eat well and have enough sleep and six months will fly, than go do jb hunt intermodal for a while till u gain enough experience -
Chinatown it looks like you can only pull out of the Ohio area they don't offer anything out of Pennsylvania at all.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
If you want local, and don't mind getting a bit dirty, you may check with H&H General Excavating in Spring Grove. We work closely with those guys on the dry bulk tanker side of things. They also run flatbed, and walking floor trailers. Rumor is they need a driver or two. And I think all their guys are home daily.
If you live closer to Hbg, Pennsy supply is always looking. They have asphalt tanker work, dry bulk tanker, and lowboy work.
Some are gonna get a chuckle on this, but UPS is pretty desperate right now in Middletown and Harrisburg. You may spend some time on the dock in the beginning, but that won't last too long. -
I will definitely chrck into h&h tomorrow! Thanks!
As far as ups, I had an interview with them about a month ago but I was told I would possibly be only driving a few times a month. Which obviously isn't going to get me any experience.
I'm guessing best to just apply on their site. -
