I don't think so; regional airport to airport.

Calex Logistics runs teams to west coast and back. I've seen their trucks here in Las Vegas. They haul lots of produce out of California and from what I understand, most of it goes to the Northeast.

I got hired at two local jobs. I applied for both at the same time and was hired on and then offered an interview with the other. So I took that interview and accepted their offer. I'm very excited at the opportunity I have. I have no complaints. It will be a lot of work, but I'm okay with that. I have a newborn and I want to be a big part of his life.

Where did you end up at if you don't mind me asking?

Hey Pontiac. I first went with Coke. Shortly after receiving their offer and right before starting there I received a call from the second place and offered the interview. I took a chance. I really enjoyed Coke. Hard work, but you can make good money.

I interviewed and accepted with Sysco. I took that job for a few reasons even though I really enjoyed Coke. For one it is a larger company since you're not actually employed with Coca Cola itself. Sysco has a lot more opportunity. Second I like that they pay strictly hourly. I do not mind working hard, but when you're paid for cases on top of a lower hourly pay you suffer, quite a bit, during OT. The company gets away with basically paying you the same for every hour you work, including hours over 40.

I'm very excited about Sysco. No doubt it will be a lot of work. There's going to be days where the job is really difficult. That said, it provides me the ippopportunity be home with my son, have some days off with him, and to make enough money to provide a very good living for my family.

Yea their are so many local jobs out there. I live in Buffalo NY. Their are plenty of food service and ltl jobs that are hiring. Just got to apply. Don't listen to the "requirements". I had an interview at a union steel hauler that wanted three years experience .just gotta sell yourself. Confidence is key.
