I feel for you, Don't put the belts on just yet, take it to a good mechanic who works on trucks, explain what needs to be done, have them get the pump realigned right and go from there.
If there are other issues with the pump, then you will see them right away, if there are no other issues with the pump, and it fixes it, then you are good to go.
THIS is a very simple thing and should take someone 35 minutes of time to fix.
See what I think is happening and I hope no one gets pissed off at me when I say this - too many people trying to analyze this and then give advice to how to fix it. It isn't rocket science, it isn't something you need a dynamic fluid expert with years of experience to fix, it is a simple take if off the belt, take the pump off (you don't have to have the hoses removed) and then remount it right then align it.
