1990 so sick of the 444 he bought a detroit. Loved the milage and it was only a 435. He drove eazy and said it had no problem doing what he wanted it to. Later bought buy local towing company and turned into a 4 axle wrecker. I have a pic someplace of that. sorry for the split post. Just busy today.

Paul claimed that was one running engine, and cheap on fuel. But when them other heavy haulers were getting 150k miles out of a big cam he had to pull it. Really 150k they rebuilt them.

 

That's cool!! The impeller on mine is maybe 4" in diameter.

 

Some days, it fits like a glove.
