In Dunseith for the night. Been struggling to get the truck out of the wind for the past hour. The shop seems to think they are the ones to decide when winter fronts go on, rather than handing them out at the beginning of October and letting the driver decide. Or just leaving it with the truck all year long.

Found a big piece of cardboard under the mattress and bungeed it to the grill. Also have the truck parked all ####-eyed in the back by some sea-cans. Coolant temp is holding at 160F and the engine fan is cycling, so I should be good. Still pushing out heat, so I won't freeze to death tonight.

I have to do some digging. My pics could be confusing. My Grandpa died 1969, was in a wreck sliding a truck of a icey bridge in Pa. Now some of the pics I reference "grandpa" well that is my dads step dad. Drove with my grandpa, married grandma 20 years later, so no jerry springer. Both WWII vets. I have a pic of my dad in 1962? Standing on the bumper of John's 1956 LJ Mack with a 300 Cummins transplant. Painted "Big Bad John" On the bumper. Music lovers will get the Big Bad John reference! He was 6'4" Gold Gloves champ of the South Pacific Fleet. He past away when my father was 18, oldest of 7. Dad always said he wasn't the kinda guy you questioned!

It used to be a real rough place before my time, my uncle told me at one time the sheriffs department wouldn’t go on the grounds. If there was a problem they had to bring them to the gate.

Depends on what the weather and roads look like in the morning. I am going to head south on 52 to 281 and take it to SD. I haven’t looked at the weather for tomorrow. It was getting a little slick when I got in here about 6 or 7
