I've ran it across KS. but it;s been a few years. Used to be good running, nowhere near as many mega steering wheel holders as the big road. Stop in Dodge City & eat at the Golden Pancake House.

From KS down to 40 is good road. I never took it the rest of the way to El Paso though.

It’s not a bad ride the rest of the way.

    It’s a good route, @Tug Toy

Did it from Wichita to El Paso like three weeks ago.

Major construction before Tucumcari — that’s it.

I use to run it all the time, mostly night driving, in Ks and Ok, great road, quiet, imo. @wore out runs it a lot, especially on his world tour trips.

Yep.... I still remember a white van under one of the bridges, completely stripped and covered in dirt. Was always told if I broke down down leave it over 10 hours, it be parts on blocks quickly.

We did a favor for one of the LTL companies that we ship a lot of stuff with. They needed to transfer a super expensive mobile MRI machine from one of their dry vans to a flatbed. Their forklift was broken down...

Both trucks show up at the yard, the LTL driven by the usual guy and the flatbed was driven by none other than a member of the Shower Shoe Puma Posse.

Nothing like loading a high dollar peice of equipment onto a truck that has a driver who can barely communicate outside of wild gesticulation and broken English.

Good road. I've ran it a couple times. A few weeks ago a bunch of guys with blades were on it but they didn't hold anything up much.
