The images wouldn't appear for me earlier. After seeing them...

If I had done that when I unloaded trucks I would've had my ### kicked by the driver, an my boss, and his bosses. We removed any trash we made(Shrink wrap, etc etc), and then did a quick sweep. Only reason we ever swept though was so we could be sure to get all the little wood pieces from whatever pallet broke. Screwed with the pallet jack whells. lol. Plus I always took pride in a job well done, can't do that if you leave the trailer looking like a pig sty.

You should ball up that shrink wrap and throw it at the idiot who let them leave your trailer looking ####ty. Put a bowling ball in it for extra hilarity. (Or a shot put)

    Just kidding....or am I...

    ;) o_O

I probably wouldn’t have pulled out of the dock until I went in and said that I needed to clean up the trailer if they didn’t want to do it.. and try to nice my way into being able to clean it up at the dock....

i actually HAD that situation at the Chelsea MA, UPS center.

i went to pick up our trailer (this was with another employer) and low and behold, pallets and trash.

since the trailer was already dropped at the rear of the building in the lot along a fence, i simply dumped it all right there on thier property. i never told my boss, and UPS never knew who did it.

but I AM if the UNDERSTANDING, that it IS THE CUSTOMERS LOAD, PALLETS, AND TRASH.....

That’s the business I been to. It’s not a warehouse and they do have a dumpster, but they told me they pay for it and don’t want my trash in there. Now I know it is their trash. So looks like I did a mistake leaving the facility with all that garbage in my trailer. Bad experience is good experience. I think I know what to do next time, unfortunately as long as it is not a big chain like Walmart etc, cause that would affect my company in future.

That is a bit excessive in my opinion. I don't know where you work but at my company if I had to do that I would let them know and get paid $20 per hour for that 2.5 hours.

Pallets I will sell if there is a place close by that buys them.
Trash, well that depends on my mood. One of the Home Depots in Vegas many moons ago wanted to play that game and turn my trailer into a dumpster. We had a bit of a heated exchange over the matter. I turned the area a few feet in front of their dock into a dumpster instead.

Lol. Just thinking same thing. Sometimes pull foward and look in trailer. Bunch of dunnage in there. Grab broom ease back truck a bit and sweep sweep, leave it right there on their dock. When they open their dock door, there is a suprise for them. Depends how their attitude was towards me also. If nice i will sweep out while at the dock, and put it in their cans. If they allow. If not they get 1st method mentioned. Oh and look around, may be a dumpster you can back up to.

My response to that is, if they're going to treat you like crap why would you WANT to go back? Sounds like a blessing. This crap is unacceptable.

Exactly! Looked like the big pallets that they shrinkwrap fixtures on. I used to do a lot of these and I would have been been at the back of the trailer as soon as they started. Let them know they had to take everything including the pallets and trash. If they object you shut the trailer doors and don't let them unload until they agree to take it all. Of course my company would have backed me up on this.
