I remember them but never really been around them. Freind had a Louisville Ford with a 6 cylinder Duetz. Good in the logging world radiator damage is a problem.

So another old CAT question. I'm slowly picking away at my old 92U 3406 Cat. I'm just getting it stripped down and cleaned up. I don't plan on pulling the crank, just rolling in new bearings. I have zero history on this engine so is there any way to tell if the main and rod bearings I pull out are standard or undersized? Not ordering anything for the engine until I get a good look at the block, crank and cam first.

They will have STD .010or .020 stamped on the back side of the bearing. They used to put a date on them too but don't any more
