The thing I really dislike about this thread is that it moves way too fast. By the time I can get around to contributing something y'all are 20 topics down the line. Anyway, a week or two ago there was a conversation about International Transport, and I just recently found a bunch of old photos, including some of my IT days. I started there in early 1978 and can't recall exactly when I left- late 1981 or early '82. Times were hard- we were in a transportation recession. It was normal to spend days waiting between loads, a week was not uncommon if you were in Canada. I was lucky to have a couple of cuties in Edmonton to help me pass the time up there. Anyhow, before I get too bogged down in memories, here's some pics;![]()

OKC ain’t too bad in the middle of the night.
I got the last load they had on Sunnylane. All 21,000 pounds of it. Gotta start pulling the 40/70 out of Roff till they get a train. -

Just rode about 20 miles on I-35 behind one of the worst drunks I’ve seen in quite a while. Twice he switched lanes in front of me as I was about to pass, then used his signal to get back right. Once almost clipped a guardrail.
So I just slowed down and stayed behind him. We did anywhere from 58 to 78 all the way from Wynnewood to Purcell. Then he took the exit ahead of me, went right, then made a U-turn and I had to stop and wait on his drunk tail end to get out the way so I could turn into my spot across from Braums.
Sheesh. I know it’s early, but it’s bedtime.
Oh and it was 23 degrees here last night. Was supposed to be 25 tonight. I just checked and it’s 43.
Missed it by that much.
I’ll leave y’all with this one. Sunset last night on the road to one of the Roff sand plants.
Y’all be cool.
