I need some good advise. I don't need ####### responses.
my truck idle management on a freightliner automatic transmission truck was mal functioning for months. I'm in iowa and no real attention was given to it during the summer.
When it started to get cold I was told to take it to a dealer . after a week in the shop I asked for a loaner truck until my truck was fixed.
I took only the essentials as I thought it wouldn't be ling until my unit was fixed.
I just found out that the truck was assigned to another driver with most of my stuff . Brand new winter gear, personal items and appliances on truck and wasn't notified . now my #### is gone . what do I do besides what's in my heart?

    tscottme Thanks this.

What do you mean "your aszs is gone"? You no longer work there? Fired? Quit? Fired because of this incident or something else?

Never leave your stuff in your truck if you work for a big company. Unless your name is embroidered on that stuff you'll have a difficult time proving it's yours even if you spot the guy wearing your stuff.

Curious to know the answer. Anyone have a solution ?
    This isn't right.

Personally if i worked for a mega fleet, 20 minutes to remove my crap and expect to lose the tractor, In fact I was told that in CDL school about 12 years ago by a retired OTR driver

    ^^^^^^^^^ as corrected.

    To the OP
Put your stuff in storage, or get a rental car or something. NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES leave your "stuff":. I am sorry but most likely that stuff was tossed and the valuables kept. I don't know how much you lost. I am sorry you had to learn this the hard way. You are not the first to have this to happen and you most certainly will not be the last. There is nothing anybody in here can do that can fix this. I am very sorry!

Unless he had some sort of property insurance there is no way to recover it. Unless he wants to make a federal case out of it. Which case would be spinning money far in excess of the value of the goods. Make a police report unit number, date, time and so on and move on with life.
