I don't blame you. We started buying premium gas for the farm cause it seemed like with the ethanol blend it varnished up the carburetors and injection systems on the small engines and they ran like crap.

The only tank outfit in Winnipeg I'd consider driving for is Jade Transport.

I've got some family connections at the company, and I'm sure they would be interested in having me, but I'm currently very happy where I am.

I would move if the money offered was well and above what I'm making now (at least a 10 cpm upgrade) and they could guarantee me the same home time I get now (it's way more important than money). I am getting more and more interested in doing liquid bulk, and possibly even DG (nothing explosive or flammable mind you) but don't want to make even bigger sacrifices just for a different experience.

And Jade does a lot of food grade material as well, which interests me much more than DG. That soda ash I ran out of Wyoming got me on the whole "higher class" of bulk idea.

    Eloy, AZ.........at the Loves....

I vaguely remember saying I’ll never step foot inside a Loves ever again post-Melton. Yet, here I am.

Grabbing some Arby’s because I’m craving a buffalo chicken sandwich... guess I haven’t learned.

There’s an SPD Volvo across the way in front of Speedco. I hope he’s having a better experience than @catalinaflyer

Sir, this was well written and made me laugh. Partly because you went off on them, partly because there are so many stupid people like that today.

I broke camp at 3:30 am this morning, got to Olive Branch at 6:55 so I could beat the second load there knowing the customer would have one empty trailer at the most. I got back down to the Love’s and got fuel and saw another truck with two people in it. Fueled up, went to the yard and had the following conversation with the shipping clerk.

The customer didn’t know we were delivering two loads, so I told hem to unload one of the trailers so the other driver can get it. He says the other driver hasn’t left yet because he doesn’t have a truck. (Now, we have 15 trucks down here and only three loads today, so there are 12 others available). I said our keys are universal, why didn’t he just take another truck? He shrugs and says I don’t know. He could have been back by 12 pm and he hasn’t even left at 12.

This moron is possibly going to miss his delivery if they close and lock the gate. I just don’t remember there being that many idiots when I was growing up.

Somehow the Governor will update the furniture in the mansion to the tune of $550k. When they talked about the star of The Apprentice not paying his share of income tax, I was like “hey I don’t blame him. They waste most of it anyways.” I wish I didn’t have to pay them, having seen firsthand where it goes.

You know there are a couple types of people. You'll find most on this thread are the "get it done" type whereas they will do whatever is reasonable (sometimes even pushing that line) to get something done. In the case of your fellow driver, it would have been well within reason for him to use his universal key to grab a different truck and get it done. In the case of the SpeedCo I would think it would have been within reason for the acting manager type person to run down the street to Napa and grab some filters, obviously with the outcome that either wasn't something they were willing to do, thought of or it was not allowed by corporate Loves.

And then, there are the rest and in modern times they seem to be rapidly overtaking the first class, the "whatever, not my problem" types. This is the guy who knows he has a universal key, was sent to do a job for which whatever the reason the truck he was supposed to be in was not usable and chose to do nothing about it, wasn't his problem. Or the manager type person at Speedco who chose to just blow me off after wasting 2 hours of my time for a 5 minute grease job, wasn't his/her problem. Unfortunately in this day and age you'll find 10 of the latter type for every one of the first type, need scientific proof, leave this thread and go look around for a little bit just within TTR. Need further proof, park within view of the fuel island and people watch for a few hours, you'll see within minutes the 2 types (well, there's a 3rd, the ones too stupid to know what anyone's problem is, he'll be the one, with his 64oz keg of Mt Dew, bag full of sugar disguised as snacks, ankles twice the size of his thighs that are bright purple with his one remaining rotten tooth and 2 week oil sheen in his hair parked in front of the fuel island inside chatting it up with the 19 year old hot-body behind the desk thinking he's getting somewhere with her while 3 trucks have backed out of that fuel lane to leave)

Jade got some real nice equipment. I take it they're tied up with Shift products too. There was 2 of them down at a truck show in Utah this summer. Nice clean good looking equipment.
