    If its working, keep going.

I myself have thought about the keto diet. Thats how far i got.

For the last 1.5 years though i have been intermittent fasting. I fast for 17 hours a day and have a window of 7 hours for eating. The fast starts at 1900, and ill eat the next day around 1200 or 1300.

Ill drink coffee, hot tea, or water while im fasting. I'll eat breakfast (eggs and meat), lunch (egg salad), dinner (whatever the wife makes). Breakfast and lunch usually happen back to back, then dinner is when i get home. Add to that exercise daily.

I have lost some amount of wieght doing this. Just havent weighed myself lately, but like you B, i have clothes that are fitting better and i have to go tighter on my belt.

Im only 5'8" 185 pounds at last weighing. Id like to get back down to my Marine Corps weight of 160, but christmas is coming and 16 farms have homemade cookies, pies, and other delicous deserts coming my way. Granted, 95% will go to the field but ill still indulge.

I limit sugar intake, but not so much so that i cant have a piece of pie when one comes around. #### do i feel like #### though after the pie, its all just mouth pleasure.

Just doing this easy fast, i feel unstoppable in the morning. Ill usually get up 330 to 4 and i feel so good, ready to put a days work in, till lunch. I feel like i think clearer and im not slowed down by what to eat or the after eating sluggishness. When the fast ends and its time to eat...... ohhhhh that first meal of the day is so tasty and worth it.

Check into it friend, in my opinion it is worth giving it a go for 2 or 3 weeks and seeing how you feel. The good thing about intermittent fasting is you can choose your schedule. You want to start out at 12 hours go ahead, start at 20... whatever works best in your experience. I myself would like to be up to 19 to 20 hours fasting and eat 2 health conscious meals a day.

I may explore the keto diet in the future, but i also dont want to be rude to Mrs. Farmer who likes to bake....lol

Im a sucker for baked ziti. Wife will be making a couple trays this weekend for our sons birthday party which is also the start of my vacation. Soooo im going to have to dig real deep for the discipline to not over eat while on vacation.

Search around there are all kinds of recipes, and prepared products out there. Just be careful of most of the sweets using sugar alcohols. Unless you need a good cleaning out.

A buddy of mine used to haul milk. He had mostly Amish farms. He'd always complain about some of the farms until Christmas, or Thanksgiving. Then, they were the greatest places in the world to him. Then New Year's would come, and he'd spend the next month complaining his clothes don't fit.

I've tried countless times to get him to the gym, but that don't work. His wife did have some luck when she talked him into a bicycle over the summer. He rode it once. Said he made it a mile from his house, and called her to come get him. Now he has a bicycle for sale..

I have heard about this diet and find it pretty interesting. Just curious, aside from the weight loss, do you find any difference in your overall energy levels? I am also 6’5” but under 200 lbs., so I think my weight is fine but I eat a lot of garbage food and find that I tire pretty easily. I have a feeling all the carbs are to blame. The wife and I are bread/pasta fanatics, so I wonder how this diet would affect me.

At any rate, good luck with your weight loss!

For me its portion control. That and cutting out the crap food (sodas, candy, fast food etc). I still eat whatever I want. Just instead of 6 cookies I have 1 or 2.
