That i94 in MI wasnt too far from where I lived. Truck carrying fireworks went up. You could see the aftermath of it all for several months after.

 

Normally I wouldnt share something like this but I think its deserved. This guy held up traffic forever trying to sight side in this spot. Up over the curb and everything to get in. I think he finally decided he already went over some grass, why not completely pull forward into this companies property on the grass to finish with a straight back.

I get it, places can be tight, and we make mistakes, but Ive never seen someone blatantly give zero ####s like this.

I remember my grandparents always talking. They lived on a 90 degree corner in Syracuse NY. Said every winter. Everyone would forget how to drive at the start of winter. Always had wrecks on that corner. Until they remembered and started driving for winter. Then, no more wrecks the remainder of winter.

 

So, I know Magnum has upped its game on pay and benefits, which is awesome to retain and lure drivers in. I have a new one for you all that is the last thing youd ever expect from a company.

Got back to the barn this morning after my volume run and there are these handouts and a ordering sheet sitting out. Company is providing free bluetooth devices to its drivers, of our choosing. I really like the one I currently have but Ill gladly take and use a new B450-xt. Really a small expense to the company so they can communicate with you without issues.

 

Geesh.... I have the original 250. Even Apple Support was impressed with how much better I sounded versus an iPhone 8x microphone. That’s a good endorsement. Kinda ridiculous that a nearly $1k phone couldn’t do better.

 

Hey yall iv been reading a few pages and Since i live in Fargo and they are based here I went on and applied but I have a few questions.

who do Magnum have for health insurance and as a new driver do I have to do OTR before I can do any of there local work?

 

Define local. They were taking new people in through the driving school with the plan of running them in LTL. Line haul driver was telling me their p&d guys were working 12 hour days because the freight is so high. I personally think putting a new guy straight into p&d is a mistake. I think it would be best to run dedicated or OTR to start, or run line haul. They are much easier until you get familiar with the dynamics of the trailer and hone in your skills more.

 

You don’t back up running line haul.
I ran linehaul for 3 years at Watkins before fed ex bought them out. I think I backed maybe 3 times that entire time I worked there.
