I'm not saying it's not real.
    But is this for real?
Is that you in the picture ?
You telling me 150 guys haven't offered to team with you in the first 10 minutes?
I don't know nothing about teams but why in the hell would you want to be in a truck with anybody other than a relationship partner. You can't possibly make that much more money can you?

I'm in full agreement with you on this. Team driving would be like hell right here on earth.
And good luck getting a decent sleep as your bouncing around in the sleeper. I love my GF , and even if she was a driver, I sure would NOT team drive with her. Lets be serious, you could also cut your own balls off with a rusty knife....but why would you want to?

I'm honestly not tying to be offensive here but I cant help feeling this post is BS.

Who works 24 yrs in the same field and does not know all of the ins and outs? Who in their right mind wants to team? And with experience,.. does not know where, who or how to find work?

With extensive heavy haul experience,.. more than me,.. are you honestly telling us that you dont know where to go sign up?

Your comments sound like a rookie coming out of class. Thats my first impression. Again,... this is honestly not meant to come across as aggressive, hurtful or offensive. Just speaking my mind. I just cant understand how someone with 24 yrs experience does not know these things.

I apologize in advance for my rudeness.

She didn't say she worked 24 years in the same field. She's going back to OTR after doing local work.

And there are plenty of us out here who like teaming. I'm amazed at how many people can't hack it. It's easy money.

OTR sucks unless you are O/O. My wife and I live near Spokane and we do OTR but there’s no way I would do this with a stranger. You would be a perfect fit to drive a tanker for JC Williams out on the West Plains. It’s the most money you’re going to make us a solo company driver. You also might want to check out clean harbors.

My lack of desire for teaming has nothing to do with hacking it or not. I can stomach virtually anything in order to reach a goal.

My issue is money,.. there is no money in teaming. When you get enough experience,.. you will see where teaming only benefits the carrier and short changes the drivers. $.65 -$.70 cpm to the truck shared with another driver only leaves you with $.32 - $.35 cpm for yourself. Chasing miles is a miserable existence. If I ever went back to being a company driver I would never work for CPM.

My driver clears $1800 - $2000 every week. I do not pay him CPM. You do what you want. Hopefully you figure things out.

As far as the OP,.. the way she worded it,. says she started driving 24 yrs ago. Does not say she left the industry. She states she drove heavy haul locally,. flatbed and OTR. I started driving back in the late 80's. Got out of trucking in mid 95 to raise my kids. Then got back into it in 2011. Between 2012 and now,.. I went from no recent experience and signed on with a ruthless tyrant in order to get my first year of recent in. I teamed and did what ever I had to. Quit and went to work for a much better carrier. Bought my own truck and trailer. Hired my first driver a year ago. All in less than 7 years time. So in my mind something does not make sense here if I can figure things out in less than 3 yrs to go O/O,.. vs someone who claims to have experience but does not know the industry? Come on,.. If it quacks like a duck,..

5500 miles per week and sleeping on a bed that jumps around with every road imperfection is not easy money.
