    They are hard to come by, but coal ashes are the cat’s meow. Just don’t let any blow into your eyes. I burned coal for heat and carried a pail of ashes during the winter. It is impossible to explain how they grip the tires and snow to provide traction.

    I like STexan's idea of the low ramps on the inside duals.
    I just may steal that idea and bolt them to truck.
    I was in a truck shop in Altoona, Pa. that had rough cut oak plank ramps about 16" high X 4 ft. long.
    Real quick way to get under trucks.

    Ash is kind of, umm, just ash isn't it? My question being wouldn't any ash work? Why would coal ash be any different than any fireplace ashes? I might try this. I keep a woodstove burning in the winter. I wish I had one in my truck!
