in Cali ... truck tub
in Kingman ... truck bath.
in Phoenix ... Danny's, but its going to cost a premium and rarely is any better than a beacon wash.
Best truck wash ever got with regular consistency ... Don't even think the place has a name. I 77 exit 48 in Mitford, SC. First time I used em, I'd been in a mine and had caked up frozen clay mud everywhere (think 700ish lbs of mud, a good 5in thick slab on my drom rack alone), salt and de icer on top of that, was crazy dirty. I think they charged me 70 bucks. Was near showroom clean ... in the dead of winter. Gave the 3 guys that worked on it 20 bucks each, they deserved more. Its been about a year ... but I used em monthly and always had great service.
Beacon uses too much brightner wherever you are if you have any aluminum.
I tend to use independents vs sit in line to pay good money for a worthless wash.
Who you think does the best truck wash?

That reminds me, I have never been to it but somewhere in Dallas I saw a do it yourself truck wash where you could pressure wash it yourself. I am not sure why those don't exist in more cities. I suppose a trucker will intentionally break the hose just to make life worse for all truckers including himself.

I think some truckers confuse the fuel island for a self service truck wash... I seen a guy the other day open his hood washing his entire engine compartment off and his entire truck off as there is ppl waiting behind him.. Not to mention washed all that engine grease and diesel fuel mixes with water and turns the fuel island into a ice skating rink... I finished fueling and walked over letting him know ppl is waiting on him be respectful he was so busy yakking on the bluetooth didnt even acknowledge that i was talking to him, unbelieveable the nerve of some pplMidwest Trucker, Dave_in_AZ, singlescrewshaker and 4 others Thank this.

Me. Nobody can wash my truck like I CAN wash it. But who has that kind of time? I give it a quickie hand-job myself once a week to keep it looking good from far (20$ in the self serve bays in winter) and spring for a $100 wash from a local indepedant once in a while. Gonna buy their fancy chemicals next spring, I'd rather pay myself the $100 an hour
The indy place Eco-Kleen in Surrey, BC does a pretty #### good job though. It's nice to have someone else do your dirty work when you dont have the resources to DIY all the time hahaLast edited: Nov 30, 2018

What do you all pay to have your equipment washed? In NC I have found options to hire someone for $30-$40. If the trailer was included it would be $60-$80 per wash.

Back when I would get down to Tom's Brook, Va, the truck wash next to the Love's did a nice job.
Eagle Truck wash in Perrysburg Ohio did a good job as well.
Nowadays, I do all the washing and polishing. It's just part of my job. I don't like it, but it does feel good taking a filthy truck and making it showroom clean.Dave_in_AZ and Tug Toy Thank this. -
Blue Beacon. Gave up on anything "mom & pop". Any "corporate" business model has what is called "S.O.P. STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE". That's just what it is too. You don't deviate, you don't look around and when nobody is watching and skip a few steps so its easier. If you do you get fired or retrained. That's why you go to Speedco, and compare how they R&R a wheel & tire. Tire is slobbered with mounting grease so they don't screw up the bead. Lug nuts are oiled and tourqued the same every time. Not just when the "good guy" happens to be working which is the case at most "mom & pops". Truck stops same thing compare showers, parking lots, fuel islands, etc. Mega carriers also. I would rather have an altercation at 2 a.m. at a truck stop parking spot with SWIFT for example then some Somallian who will just tear my hood off and leave. Also when you call in to report their drivers the megas have a procedure for it. Call a "mom & pop" and all you get is defensive owner or his dispatcher brother-in-law saying "I just cant believe you that's one of our best drivers". Now with all that said I use a "mom & pop" mechanic shop so there are good small businesses out here I just wont do it out on the road away from home. To much $$$ at risk.
