how does anyone know, if the rock salt wasn't hijacked from some truck..???

or stolen from some outside display at some store like Home Depot/Lowes..????

my local Lowes, actually does have pallets of rock salt outside, 24/7......

as far as polishing the wheels, that's not something one can steal to make money from.....maybe the polish, but who can really say about that..???

Had my truck polished in Barstow last month. Waste of money. Lots of spots missed and none of it was done very well. Lesson learned. He had a generator and the high speed buffer and everything, all 3 bars. I'd much rather have paid more and had it done so everything was like mirrors.
I won't make that mistake again. I'd like to do it myself at home. Do it right. Drop fuel tanks. Take wheels off. If something is worth doing it's worth doing right.

Many years ago, back in prehistoric times when I lived in So Cal.

In and around LA almost every freeway on and off ramp had someone with a sign begging for money for all sorts of reasons.

A local radio station put a couple of people out on offramps begging for money as an experiment.

After about 6 hours the station picked them up and reported that as an average one person made about $17.75 per hour, and other person made about $17.00 per hour.

So if you figure that it was many years ago, and they weren't paying tax on their wages this was pretty good money to be had.

This is why begging still exists today, easy money, no tax.

Finding low lives at truck stops has more to do with the area your in. Not AS much the name of the truck stop.

True. You'll see more low lifes at the Loves and Petro in W Memphis than you will at the same stops in places like Kingman, Az or Albert Lea Mn.

Unreal! I also lived in SoCal. I remember. They are everywhere. There was a veteran, we’d help out. Traveling, I keep to myself. $17.00 hr?

That’s a great super clean stop in Albert Lea. I was there last week. I think it was a petro. Tons of easy parking at 8 pm.

Against corporate policy, said bum goes inside and uses his begging money to buy liquor, junk food, and fills his tank with gasoline before going home for the night
